We keep this short and plain. If something here doesn't make sense or you'd like a copy of what we have on file, email privacy@certifiedgutters.com.
What we collect
When you fill out a form or call us: your name, phone, email, ZIP code, the service you're asking about, and anything you tell us about your house or project. If you send photos, we keep those too.
When you visit the site: your IP address, browser type, which pages you looked at, and where you came from. This is standard for any website and we use it to see what's working and what isn't.
We don't collect payment information on this site.
How we use it
- To get back to you about the estimate or service you asked for.
- To send appointment, scheduling, and follow-up messages about your project.
- To keep records of work we've done for you.
- To occasionally email past customers about related services — seasonal reminders about gutter cleaning, follow-ups on previous installs, or new offerings. You can opt out anytime by replying "unsubscribe" or clicking the unsubscribe link in any email.
- To understand how the website is being used so we can make it better.
We don't sell your information. We don't use it for advertising on other sites. We don't share it with anyone other than the service providers listed below, who only see what they need to do their job.
Who else sees it
We use these companies to run the website and respond to inquiries. Each one only handles the specific piece described:
- Resend — sends form submissions to our email. Receives everything you put in the form.
- Cloudflare Turnstile — checks that you're a person, not a bot, before the form goes through. Sees brief technical signals from your browser; no personal information.
- Google Analytics 4 & Google Tag Manager — measures how people use the website (pages, clicks, scrolling). Uses cookies. Doesn't see what you type into the form.
- Vercel — hosts the website. Keeps short-term server logs that include IP addresses.
Cookies
We use two kinds of cookies:
- Analytics cookies from Google Analytics so we can count visits and see what's popular. These last up to two years.
- Security cookies from Cloudflare Turnstile while you're filling out a form. These last only as long as your visit.
We don't use advertising or remarketing cookies. You can block cookies in your browser settings if you'd like — the site will still work.
How long we keep it
- Form submissions and project records: as long as you're a customer, plus seven years after — to handle warranty questions, tax records, and similar.
- Analytics data: up to 14 months in Google Analytics, then it's automatically deleted.
- Server logs: 30 days or less.
Your rights
You can ask us to:
- Send you a copy of the information we have about you.
- Correct anything that's wrong.
- Delete your information (unless we need to keep it for tax or warranty reasons).
- Stop emailing you marketing or reminder messages.
- Stop using your information for analytics.
Email privacy@certifiedgutters.com and we'll handle it within 30 days.
California residents: the California Consumer Privacy Act gives you the same rights listed above, plus the right to opt out of any sale of your information. We don't sell information.
Children
This website is for adults asking about home services. We don't knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you think we have, email us at privacy@certifiedgutters.com and we'll delete it.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle information, we'll update this page and the "last updated" date at the top. Significant changes will be noted in a brief summary at the top of the page for at least 30 days.
